Troubleshooting Your Own Website Access Problems On NMCI
Published, April 28, 2014
Did you know you can perform your own NMCI troubleshooting for Department of Defense (DoD) website access problems?
For NMCI users unable to access DoD websites, some common culprits are:
- The browser version being used is outdated.
- The site being accessed is misconfigured or incompatible with DoD settings.
- A third-party plugin, such as Java.
NMCI users can find the Homeport troubleshooting steps at https://www.homeport.navy.mil/support/articles/ie-web-access/
. If you have difficulty accessing DoD websites from either your work or personal computer, you can perform basic troubleshooting by following the steps listed on Homeport. If these steps don't resolve the issue, call the NMCI Service Desk at 866-THE-NMCI. The NMCI Service Desk offers support to classified and unclassified data-seat-holders 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
