2020 USN-USMC Electromagnetic Spectrum Workforce Excellence Awards Nominations Due Date Extended to Dec. 17

The USN-USMC Electromagnetic Spectrum Workforce Excellence Awards program recognizes the efforts of individuals and teams within the USN-USMC spectrum communities for exceptional achievement in spectrum supportability. The deadline for nominations has been extended to Dec. 17.

NOTE: If you have submitted a nomination but it has not been acknowledged, please resubmit to joanne.wills@navy.mil. Any questions can be directed to that email address or to 703-695-1900.

Nominations, due by Dec. 17, 2019, are now being accepted for the following categories:

  1. Electromagnetic Spectrum Individual Excellence Award
    ­- For a specific achievement related to spectrum supportability.
  2. Electromagnetic Spectrum Team Excellence Award
    ­- For a specific achievement related to spectrum supportability.
  3. Electromagnetic Spectrum “Rising Star” Award
    ­- Recognizes up-and-coming talent in the Spectrum workforce.
  4. Electromagnetic Spectrum "John J. Lussier" Award
    ­- Recognizes strategic leadership in the Spectrum workforce.
Nominations must be submitted to DON_CIO_Spectrum@navy.mil, attention: Spectrum Workforce Excellence Awards, and must include:
  1. Brief description of the achievement
  2. Individual / team point of contact information
  3. Recommended citation (100-300 words)
  4. At least one supporting endorsement
  5. Other supporting documents if/as applicable
Nominations are open to Department of the Navy military, civilian, and support contractors. Individuals may self-nominate, but they must include at least one supporting endorsement.

Award winners will be notified by email no later than Jan. 13, 2020, with acknowledgement at both the East and West Coast 2020 USN-USMC Spectrum Summits (details to be provided separately).
