CASP and CSSLP Courses Now Available on FedVTE

FedVTE is an online training center that provides Federal cybersecurity and IT professionals with hands-on labs and training courses. The environment is accessible from any Internet-enabled computer and is free to users and their organizations. FedVTE is sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with the Department of State and the Department of Defense.

New FedVTE users can contact the Community Manager from their organization to request an account. The FedVTE help desk has contact information for all existing Community Managers. If your organization does not have a Community Manager, DHS will work with the Command Information Officer or Chief Information Security Officer from your organization to establish one.

CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner Certification Prep (20 Hours)

This certification study course helps to prepare students to sit for the CompTIA CASP CAS-001 certification exam by covering technical knowledge and skills required in designing and engineering secure solutions in enterprise environments. A broad spectrum of security disciplines are discussed to help with critical thinking when considering secure enterprise solutions and managing risk.

(ISC)2 Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional Prep (20 Hours)

This certification study course helps prepare students to sit for the (ISC)2 CSSLP certification exam by covering application security concepts and the software development lifecycle. This course is for individuals with at least four years of experience in secure software concepts, software requirements, software design, and software implementation.
