The purpose of this training session was to familiarize DoD civil liberties POCs with Fourth Amendment issues that may arise within their own components. Topics included an overview of searches and seizures, where individuals do and do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy, and various case laws regarding the Fourth Amendment. The presentation mainly focused on Part I: Overview, and Part IV: Workplace Searches and Miscellaneous Topics, as these topics are most relevant for DoD employees.
