CHIPS Articles: New DON Policy Ensures Spectrum Data Consistency

New DON Policy Ensures Spectrum Data Consistency
By DON CIO Memo - October 9, 2020
DON CIO memo, "Spectrum Supportability Requirements for Spectrum-Dependent Equipment Certification" requires all DON equipment certification requests for stage 2, 3, and 4 spectrum-dependent systems to include a current Spectrum Supportability Risk Assessment (SSRA). Spectrum data must be consistent throughout the equipment certification and SSRA processes to ensure success in the Frequency Assignment and Host Nation Coordination phases. Developing an SSRA in preparation for equipment certification achieves this data consistency.
