Air Force Lab Sponsors Million Dollar International Quantum U Tech Accelerator Virtual Event

Thirty-six research teams from around the world were selected to pitch their innovative ideas in quantum research in the areas of timing, sensing, communications, and computing as part of the free LIVE virtual Million Dollar International Quantum U Tech Accelerator taking place September 1-3, 2020.

Funded by the Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, and the Office of Naval Research, and supported by Griffiss Institute, New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation, and SUNY Research Foundation, these basic research applications will feed the bleeding-edge of quantum innovation for the U.S. military and coalition partners.

The Million Dollar International Quantum U Tech Accelerator will feature in-person and virtual engagement opportunities, live pitch competitions with awards for university proposers, both nationally and internationally, and will feature messages from quantum thought leaders and visionaries, including American Astrophysicist, Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson and U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force Acquisitions Executive, Dr. Will Roper.

  • Hear from attendees and principal investigators representing over 29 countries worldwide.
  • Watch 36 University teams pitch their quantum projects live, and learn how they'll serve U.S. military needs.
  • Find out which 18 university researchers will receive over $1.35M in basic research funding awards.
  • Explore a live, virtual poster session to learn more about the teams and their quantum projects.
  • Participate in breakout sessions throughout the event and talk directly with the teams, industry professionals, and other attendees.
  • Tune into messages and keynotes from world leaders in QIS, including American Astrophysicist, Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson and Dr. Will Roper.
