By CHIPS Magazine - August 21, 2019
Training for all courses is open to all military, civilian and contractor employees who have a technical role. Classes are free, but all travel expenses are the responsibility of the student/organization.

CDA Foundations:
The Fundamental CDA course provides new analysts a baseline knowledge of common security principles and a foundational understanding of how they apply at the network and system levels. The course teaches additional topics necessary for students to be successful at the Intermediate level, including common threats and attack techniques that face defenders as well as an understanding of common security lexicon, such as vulnerability, intrusion detection, and incident response. Registration.

CDA– Intermediate
The Intermediate CDA course builds on knowledge and skills previously introduced in the Fundamental course, delving deeper into security principles and architectures and their effect at the network level and introducing new intermediate topics, such as access control. The course expands core skills and abilities analysts need to be able to perform. These activities include evaluating security designs for gaps, using protocol analyzers, detecting intrusions and collecting correlating data, and recognizing common vulnerabilities. Registration.

CDA– Advanced
The Advanced CDA course moves a successful Intermediate student to an advanced level, delving deeper into intrusion detection, emerging threats, and building security technologies as well as solidifying skills in recognizing, categorizing, and assessing vulnerabilities and the effectiveness of mitigating controls. Additional topics further deepen a student’s knowledge, skills, and abilities in network analysis and incident response. Registration.

Open to all DoD employees (military, civilian, and government contractors)
