Webcast today: Ready and Resilient - The Fight to Save USS Samuel B Roberts
By Naval History and Heritage Command - June 19, 2019
Join a live interactive Deckplate Talk from aboard USS Truxton DDG103.

Readiness and Resilience - these are just two of the traits the crew of USS Samuel B. Roberts exhibited on April 14, 1988, as they fought to save their ship from sinking into the Arabian Gulf.

Just over 30 years later, hear from the commanding officer of the ship, retired Captain Paul Rinn, as he sits down with Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Russell Smith and the crew of USS Truxtun (DDG-103) to discuss this moment from our history - a remarkable tale of toughness, accountability, initiative, integrity, and redemption. The show will be interactive with email and social media questions from the fleet.

The webcast scheduled today, June 19, 2019 12:50 PM EDT to June 19 2019 3:30 PM EDT
