DoD Now Accepting Applicants for the Cyber Scholarship Program Academic Year 2019-2020
By CHIPS Magazine - January 22, 2019
The Office of the DoD Chief lnformation Officer is announcing its annual request for participation in the recruitment segment of the DoD Cyber Scholarship Program (CySP).

The DoD CySP recruitment program provides scholarship funding to current students (nonDoD individuals) studying at select National Centers of Academic Excellence (CAEs) in Cyber Education throughout the U.S. Scholarships are awarded to rising juniors and seniors to complete their bachelor's degree, and to graduate students to begin or complete a master's or PhD program. In addition, this year, as a pilot, community college CAEs will nominate students for academic scholarships. They may be considered by DoD Components for immediate hire upon graduation, or to continue their studies at a four-year CAE academic institution. All CySP scholarship recipients pursue degrees in academic disciplines that have a cybersecurity concentration and receive financial assistance in exchange for a service commitment to the DoD following graduation.

Interested applicants should visit https://dodcio.defense.gov/Portals/0/Documents/Cyber/dodcyspfastfacts.pdf for application deadlines and other important information.

Please contact the NSA DoD CySP Program Office at askiasp@nsa.gov, (410) 854-6206, or the DoD CIO Cyber Workforce Division at OSD.CyberspaceWorkforce-TAG@mail.mil regarding any questions about the program.
