DON CIO Guidance on IM/IT Inherently Governmental Functions

This guidance lists a series of functions categorized as inherently governmental and non-inherently governmental. In some cases, pieces of functions belong in each category; therefore, the function title appears under each heading. It should not be assumed that all of these functions are the sole domain of the IM/IT workforce.
